How to Use the Validation

When you see a Web Equal Validation logo on a website, you can be confident in the fact that the site is meeting the criteria of successfully presenting DEI content throughout its pages. The site has been reviewed and analyzed by the Web Equal team who have identified, measured, weighed, and compared its approach to content within a set of parameters that consider DEI’s multiple facets.
For the web visitor – this is extremely meaningful. Websites that are Web Equal Validated let the user know that the host organization is actively working to support a diverse environment through its content as presented. By supporting websites that have made a rigorous effort toward the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion, web visitors are helping to effect true change.
For the website owner – the ability to say your site is Web Equal Validated provides evidence of your commitment to the importance of DEI content. By displaying the Web Equal Validated logo on your website, your customers and users will quickly understand they are on a website that is a driving force in making vital change.
What if a site you visit frequently isn’t Validated? Suggest the site for a Web Equal review here. Our surveyors do a great job of finding websites for potential Web Equal Validation, but we are always looking for more sites that may meet our review criteria. It only takes a second to propose a site.
While content DEI is vital for every website, there are going to be some that may not have the breadth or depth of content to be Validated. Consider a credit card bill pay website, an online menu, or a product category specific ordering page. These very targeted interactive web pages are usually driven by content directed at a purchase action, with the user spending time to complete a function. Sure, these sites may have imagery or descriptive paragraphs that allow for addressing diversity, and our hope is that every website is doing so. But for now, the goal is to ensure the most influential sites on the Internet are Web Equal Validated, helping to promote the ideals of diversity, equity and inclusion on the largest and most used communication avenue in the world.
